Happy 10/10/10

Sunday, October 10th, 2010

Binary has many meaning according to what you need to convert it to. So for example 101010 is the decimal 42 or the hexadecimal 2A. Sometimes people like to use ASCII in which the number 42 represents the asterisk * or in the hacking world the asterisk means “everything” or “all” some people think that the number 42 is the number that explains life… or something…

The Size of The Universe And What It Means.

Monday, October 4th, 2010

I saw the visualization of the scale of the universe above and it was pretty interesting. The only problem with a concept like this is that it raises lots of questions (which is a good thing).

The universe is a huge place that we cannot possibly comprehend as a whole. According to the latest theories, there are 11 dimensions in the universe all in the form of one dimensional planes waving like the sea across time. And then two of those waves happen to crash against one another, interesting things happen.

I found this cool TED talk on the expanding universe:

This is a nice little documentary about the multiple dimensions and parallel universes:

String theory confirms my theory about how clashing forces in the universe created our “space”. According to me, there is only one universe that contains many different spaces. What we consider our current universe is just out space and the rest of the spaces are yet to be found, when we are able to see through time at different demissions of space. I made a little picture which I titles Razorblade Theory, which illustrate how our “space” is formed by the clashing of two forces (or many forces from all 10 or 11 dimensions). Since these forces move like waves in an ocean, we can see that our space will eventually collapse when the waves recede. Hopefully by that time we will be able to travel across dimensions to an other space similar to ours.
